I'm not overly fussed about cockroaches, spiders, snakes or even crocs ( I didn't say I wasn't scared of them, just not fussed about them).

However, if I see a leech on me, it's not a good sight to see. Needless to say, It had been bucketing down for days in Toorongo ( think the Gippsland District in Victoria) when I heard the falls hike to the top would be an amazing experience.

4:00am start saw me in the carpark getting myself organised.... off I went. The hike actually was wonderful as it followed a creek and with all the rain that had fallen, it was a bit of a torrent. When I got to the top, I got my camera gear out and started setting it all up when I saw a **!@#$ leech on my hand.

Then another,.... 4 in total ! I cant stand the slippery little buggers. Anyway, I took the shot and started to think how I was going to get back down without another one or two finding their way onto me. I did manage to get back ok as I had put my hoody on and all my wet gear. I'll know better next time. But I have to say, it was worth it
