I found a spot to chill for a few days. No tv, no news, no social media…… just nature at its best keeping you company. It rarely disappoints and this location was no exception. Cangai Bridge was the backdrop and for 10 peaceful days, I gratefully accepted its medicine that nature was offering in substantial doses.
It had been raining for a number of days and as I woke on this morning, the rain had eased. It was still overcast but the sun was trying hard to break through. I stepped outside and was taking in the freshness of the morning when in the distance, I could hear the faded sound of running water. I had to find it.
I didn’t have to walk too far before I stumbled onto this hidden creek. I was told it rarely runs but this morning, it was putting on a wonderful show for me.
The water was crisp, clear and calming. I took my boots off and started to slowly walk along the creek bed. ( I just love the feeling of wet sand squishing between my toes ). I saw a large boulder on the edge of the creek bed. Despite it looking out of place, it looked perfect for me to climb.
To me, there is nothing more peaceful that sitting on a rock beside a creek and listening to the magical sounds of water running over and around its resident rocks and boulders.
