I had been walking on an unfamiliar track for quite a while. I knew there was a stream close by but I just didn’t know how to get to it.

Finally, there was what appeared to be a small break amongst the bushes and my curiosity got the better of me. I had found what was an overgrown track which eventually lead me to the stream I had been looking for.

I found myself on the bend in the stream with a number of different birds chirping and singing their songs all around. There were quite a number of ducks paddling around on the still waters oblivious to my intrusion onto their patch..

It was such a peaceful scene. I was tired and cold. I found a small, fallen log to sit on, not quite on the water’s edge. I poured myself a coffee, sat back and enjoyed the moment.
