Slow and Muddy
Walking amongst the river red gum eucalyptus trees along the banks of the iconic Murray River can be such a humbling experience. It had been raining two days earlier so the slow flowing waters were quite muddy which only added to the experience. The sweet smell of the eucalyptus leaves were evident as the day started to draw to a close.
The early evening sky was overcast and the thought of grabbing an image at this stage was all but lost. To be honest, I was quite enjoying the walk along the river so it wasn’t too much of an issue for me.
However, I did look back over my shoulder and just as the sun was starting to set, a thin layer of clouds dispersed above the horizon. I had run out of excuses to not grab my camera. Suddenly, it was “panic stations”. As luck would have it, I was able to find and quickly compose an image.
