I’d been to this spot before. Looking at what is now a mere trickle of water meandering through the forest is certainly different to the raging flow of water that I experienced last time I was here.

This time, there was a sense of calm and quiet. You could make sense of all the various sounds that the forest was prepared to give up. The tranquil sound of the babbling brook before me, the rustling leaves of the surrounding trees and I could even make out the amazing calls of a single Lyre Bird.

Yes, nature at its very, very best. Such a joy to be out and about.
