Covid-19 has seen me restricted to visiting nearby locations for my photography and even then, on few occasions. However, I did manage to get out one early morning a few weeks ago. Even though it had been raining, I was still keen to get out amongst it.

The rain seemed to stop for a while so I quickly got my camera out. As I was setting up for this image, I noticed an elderly gentleman with his walking stick and his dog slowly making their way towards me. He was definitely up for a chat and seemed keen to know what I was doing.

After a brief exchange, he started to walk away. He stopped, turned and said in his croaky voice, “I love walking my dog regardless of the weather”. He went on to tell me with a wry and cheeky smile “it’s my only chance to get away from the Mrs”. With that cheeky grin, he tapped his finger on his nose, turned and walked off. Such a cheeky old bugger
