Stage Play

The Wingecarribee River is a twisty, meandering stretch of water that runs through the centre of the beautiful south coast, historical township of Berrima. On this particular morning, the air had a bite to it and the flow in the river was quite slow.

The morning mist started to lift as the partially cloud covered sun started to find its way through the surrounding tree canopy. Initially, I was disappointed ( what photographer doesn’t like a misty morning ?? ) that it started to dissipate but then nature seemed to be slowly revealing more surprises for me.

Call it an encore to the main event because as the mist started to lift, the riverbanks began to show off their own beauty.

From layered rock formations that seemed to guide the river on its journey, to the flowing grasses and the various trees and shrubs of all shapes and sizes. They all seemed to play a part in the big reveal as the curtains ( read mist ) lifted.
