It was really cold and it was really dark when I arrived just out of Bundanoon. I’d never been here before but my research told me I had a fair way to go on foot before I reached my destination. I grabbed my gear and backpack and started to walk down a dark and narrow bush track.

The thick tree canopy made it all that more difficult to stay on the track. Scary ?? I’d like to say no, but it can get a little sketchy when you’re on your own, in a remote area and its as black as it gets. I’m just grateful I don’t have to worry about bears ( not drop bears) and lions here in Oz..

Finally, the morning light started to filter through the tree canopy as I arrived at the small falls. I found my spot on a large boulder opposite the falls and took my shot.

It wasn’t until much later when I published this image on my Facebook page that people were commenting how they could see a little girl holding on by her left hand at the top of the falls. I’m so glad I didn’t see her when I was out there !
